Hiroshi KANATANI
MANGA・COMIC ARTIST, CHARACTER DESIGNER, ILLUSTRATOR
Hiroshi Kanatani has been a professional Manga Artist, who live in Japan. His Manga works are published in various countries, including Japan, United States, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and are tailored to meet the needs of each country.
Hiroshi has been known in both Japan, America and some other countries as the “Kaiju Manga artist” becoming the fan-favorite artist for all things giant and Japanese Tokusatsu monsters, who specializes in Kaiju and Tokuastsu hero artwork, but is skilled at many different subjects and styles.
He has worked primarily on manga in Asia and America as a story creator, cover illustrator, and main illustrator, becoming a staple among fans.
In the Tokusatsu industry, he has worked with some of Japanese most famous production companies, including Toho for GODZILLA, Tsuburaya for ULTRAMAN, Kadokawa for GAMERA, P Production for Spectreman, and Senkosha for RED BARON.
He has drawn numerous illustrations of Godzilla, Ultraman, and more, leading to the publication of art books. He has also worked on the comic book adaptations of several Tokusatsu works, including “Dinosaur war IZENBORG” and “Spectreman Heroes.”
In 2025, he has his ULTRAMAN art book published worldwide, putting him in the unique position of being a Japanese artist well known on both sides of the Pacific for his work on both Japanese and American productions.
In addition to creating numerous magazines covers and illustrations, as well as covers for film and comic book adaptations, he has also provided character designs and poster art for conventions around the world, with his merchandises sold around the world. Hiroshi will continue to work on plenty more projects as a global Manga artist and official Tokusatsu artist!
